Beneath the streets of New York City, a Gambian jali transforms the chaos of the subway system into a sacred stage. Underground Sound profiles Salieu Suso as he carries the weight of a timeless West African oral tradition of storytelling-by-song into the heart of modern urban transit, keeping the stories of his ancestors alive for an audience on the move.
